Saganda Surik (Indhara  Uteh) ~1131-1173

The Kingdom of Sri Indera Purik had expanded during the rule of Pangiran Sri Baginda Tuanku Indhara Uteh. Many settlements from areas around Indera Purik joined in and became its tributaries. Even though Indera Purik was free from Srivijaya, the relationship with Tanjung Pura remained good. He married Dang Sri Bunuk. They had five children, three girls and two boys. However, four of them died when they were babies, Only the fourth child survived.

Dang Sri Bunuk was the daughter of the Menteri Sri Indra Bentara Diraja Mangkuk Bumi a minister during the rule of Indra Ragga. His name was Pangiran Tuan Karni. When Indhara Uteh became King, he appointed his brother-in-law, Pangiran Tuan Sarok to hold the post of Menteri Indra Sri Temenggong Setia Raja. Despite having many areas under its power, Sri Indera Purik did not have diplomatic relations with any other kingdoms other than Tanjung Pura.

NOTE

In 1363, Sarawaku, (pupah 14) Melano and Lingga would all be represented in the epic Indonesian poem. (Lourdes 1963 p.107) The Nagarakretagamas stated the Pa’melayu army moved north to meet the forces to Kublai Khan who were either going towards or retreating from an attack on Java. On the way, some members of the army would have stopped at Santubong and other ports for water, food and to repair ships. They probably also left people at the port.

Saganda  Pratima (Indra Simma) ~1173-1211

After the death of Saganda Surik, Saganda Pratima took the throne. He was also known as Indra Simma. In the Tuca Kerabat Raja Raja Indra Ponek/ Sri Indera Purik, Saganda Pratima means in Sanskrit something that has a shape. As king, he became known as Indra Simma. During his administration, the trading of iron and jungle products expanded. He invited the people of Tanjungpura to migrate to Sri Indera Purik and to mine iron in Pulo Talang and Pulo Satang. He permitted them to build a new settlement at Tanjong Kembang (Tanjong Mbang). Later the settlement became a stopping place for collecting fresh drinking water. The spot became known as Telaga Aik. (Telega Air) He also formed a system of administration that was more organized and created more ministerial positions to help him govern. The ministerial positions were:

1. Indra Paduka Bantara Diraja Mangkuk Bumi (Prime Minister)

2. Sri Darma Wangsa Indra Setia Raja (Finance)

3. Sri Paduka Indra Temenggong (Peace and Safety)

4. Sri Paduka Indra Wangsa Diraja (Mayor of Indera Purik)

5. Sri Indra Amar Diraja (To handle the Petinggi in the outlying stations.)

6. Sri Indra Setia Raja (Welfare of the palace)

All positions, including the Petinggi were held by the royal family members.

Simma had two sons with Puteri Ngembun daughter of Datu Bupan from the royal family of the Tanjungpura kingdom in Ketapang. His eldest son’s name was Tuan Indraka Sigat. The youngest son’s name was Pangiran Paduka Tuan Indrasagga.

Saganda Siga (Indraka Sigat) ~1211-1242

After the death of Indra Simma, he was replaced by Saganda Siga. During his rule, he appointed his brother Pangiran Paduka Tuan Indrasagga to hold the post of Prime Minister. Indraka Sigat was married to Puteri Iyang Dukuk daughter of Paduka Tuan Mankuna who was the Patinggi of Seri Abas. They had three children, Pangiran Ampuan dang Munila , Pangiran Ampuan dang Teypey and Pangiran Paduka Tuan Indranajunjunan.

During his rule, he built a wall at the Astana at Bukit Maras that faced the sea. (this wall was torn down recently by the government of Sarawak) He also created the position of Panglima for the very first time in Sri Indera Purik. The post of Panglima was known as Datu Indra Pelawan. The position was held by his nephew Pandeyka Karah (Pendekar Karah) who was the son of Pangiran Paduka Tuan Indrasagga.

During his rule, there were no diplomatic ties to any other government except Tanjungpura. It is believed that during his rule the people believed in animism. There were a small number of his people who were Hindu Buddhists.
